Product information:

The folding diaper, or prefold, made of organic cotton consists of four layers on the edges and eight layers in the middle.

The special material becomes more absorbent over time. The winches reach their optimal absorbency after 4-7 washes. Of course you can use it after the first wash and you will be surprised at how it changes ;-)

Prefolds lose approx. 10% of their original size and therefore shrink, but this is a normal process for pure cotton products.

 

The prefolds from XKKO Organic made from organic cotton have the GOTS certificate (Global Organic Textile Standard). The organic cotton used for this is grown without the use of chemical sprays and using natural principles. Natural biodiversity, crop rotation and fertilizing with compost keep the soil healthy and full of nutrients. Instead of using chemical preparations, XKKO avoids weed infestation through simple weeding and hoeing, mulching, more effective irrigation and growing multiple plant species together.

Natural insecticides are used and various methods (e.g. planting out certain crops) support the presence of natural predators of the pests.

The cotton flowers are often collected by hand and in a gentle manner and no chemical substances are used to remove the leaves from the bushes.

Wash:

You can wash the prefolds at 95°C, but 60°C is sufficient. This means your diapers won't wear out as quickly and will last longer.

Please wash your prefolds at least once before first use.

Please do not use fabric softener as this reduces the absorbency.

XKKO recommends using a universal detergent. Soap and liquid bile soap can reduce the absorbency of your diaper's product.

After each wash, you can bring the prefold back into shape by gently pulling it.

Washing can cause changes in the size and shape of the diapers (shrinking or stretching) by ± 10%.

Tumble drying is not recommended.
